Sedgwick leather really does need to be oiled prior to use and this card outlines my recommended product and guidelines for initial oiling. The card also discusses the rubber lined and rubber reins avoiding direct contact with petroleum-based products (like fly spray) to ensure longevity and keep them from becoming “gummy”.
